Comfortable, breathable and ready to move. A simple guide to dressing for Zumba and Zumba Step Cardio.
You don't need fancy gear to join a dance fitness class. What you do need is clothing you can move and sweat in comfortably, especially with the warm Leyte weather. Here's a quick guide.
Tops
Choose a breathable, lightweight shirt or tank top. Dri-fit or moisture-wicking fabrics are ideal because they dry quickly. Cotton works too, but it holds on to sweat. Pick something that lets you raise your arms freely without constantly adjusting it.
Bottoms
Leggings, joggers, bike shorts or loose training shorts are all great. Avoid jeans or anything with a stiff waistband. Fitted bottoms are best for floor work and stretching, so your clothes don't get in the way when you bend.
Shoes: this one matters
- Zumba & Step: rubber shoes or cross-training shoes with good support. Running shoes with very grippy soles can make pivots harder on your knees.
- Avoid slippers, sandals or school shoes for cardio classes.
Extras worth bringing
- A water bottle. You'll need it.
- A small towel for sweat.
- A hair tie or headband.
- A change of shirt for the ride home.
Most of all, wear something that makes you feel good. Confidence is the best outfit. Once you're dressed and ready, book your first class and come move with us.
